For discipline, she did not shout, squabble, spank, nor did she suspend privileges’ to correct the errors of her children. Those methods to correct and reform she considered were merely too temporary, too forgettable, to bring about any real and lasting change in behavior. The way she improved upon the behavior of her children, was unending. She stirred them to do what she wanted by putting chilling ideas, haunting scenarios and horrific consequences in their minds, that lasted, lingered and disturbed.
